Exchanging spaces

River of Flowers supports urban design that incorporates wildflowers and food growing projects where people are living or working. We advocate that every time a new building is constructed, the ground space lost to wildflowers or food growing should be replaced by an exchange of space, by growing wildflowers or edibles on the roof, walls or balconies or within the building tself.. There are many wonderful examples of exchanging spaces in cities around the world that we will be featuring on this page. Let us know here: info@riverofflowers.org about any flowering and green buildings in your city, or if you are planning or designing one.
